Counselling
This tends to be of several form.
There is joint relationship counselling attempting a reconciliation and considering what has to be done by each to help bring about a reconciliation and then to improve the relationship to make it work better. There is other joint relationship counselling when the couple are separating but they are aware of the issues which separate them in the past and want to work through them to help in the future, perhaps in co-parenting.
There is sole counselling of many forms, for instance to cope with and understand and adapt to a relationship break up. It can be to help with personal issues such as loss of a child, anger management, depression and stress and many others.
There are different counsellors for the various counselling needs. Some have a particular background amongst religious and ethnic groups. iFLG works closely a number of counsellors and can make recommendations.
