Undertaking

A promise that should be treated as a solemn assurance to the court. The person giving it may be sent to prison or fined if breached.

Unreasonable Behaviour

One of the grounds for a divorce. The behaviour itself can be quite mild if the responding party consents to a divorce proceeding. Wherever possible it is advantageous to try and agree the details of the behaviour before issuing divorce proceedings, but in some cases, particularly where there are issues as to jurisdiction this is not possible.
