Lucy Greenwood

Partner

Lucy Greenwood is a Partner at iFLG. Lucy has a very broad depth of experience and knowledge in resolving family issues having specialised exclusively in the field of family law for the last 20 years.

Prior to joining iFLG, Lucy worked as a solicitor in a large City firm. Lucy regularly deals with complicated financial cases many of which have an international element where action has to be taken very early in the case. Lucy’s cases, many of which comprise amongst other things, dealing with complicated legal issues and high net worth, often involve dealing with off-shore trusts, corporate issues, tracing assets abroad, enforcement and pensions. Lucy has a particular specialism in the drafting of pre-nuptial and post–nuptial agreements having done a large number of such agreements involving many parts of the world. Many of the cases Lucy has handled have necessitated at least initial involvement of advice and sometimes possibly the joinder of lawyers in other jurisdictions. Lucy is also hugely experienced in jurisdictional disputes.

Lucy handles cases concerning all aspects of family breakdown. She is conscientious, meticulous and always ensures her clients are protected as much as possible from the rigors of litigation. Where a conciliatory approach is possible, Lucy will find it. Much of Lucy’s work in forum cases requires immediate and urgent action to protect a client’s position.

Lucy writes for websites, legal journals and she has presented a number of seminar and webinar updates for the legal profession, as well as given lectures both here and abroad, including in Spain and most recently Hong Kong. She has also appeared on television and written articles for newspapers both here and in Portugal.

Lucy is the Legal Editor for LNTV's Family Law Channel.

Lucy was listed as a 'Leading Individual' in the Legal 500 Guide 2016 and in the 2017 Guide she is described as ‘outstanding’.
