Marianna joined the iFLG in Spring 2016.
Marianna has a particular expertise in all matters concerning children including parental and grandparental disputes in this country and across international borders. She has also had experience in surrogacy, adoption and forced marriage cases.
Marianna has developed a particular speciality in international parental child abduction cases and has represented many clients on matters involving abductions to Hague and non-Hague countries. She represents and advises clients in making such applications and in defending them. Marianna is experienced in using the inherent jurisdiction of the High Court and especially in Wardship cases where the court’s hands might be tied in making other appropriate orders concerning children. She has been involved in many cases in the High Court.
Marianna has also had much experience representing parents either applying to relocate their children to another part of the country or who want to relocate to another country with their children. Marianna also advises on general jurisdictional disputes affecting children.
Marianna is a member of Child Abduction Lawyers Association, Resolution, Young Legal Aid Lawyers and Amnesty International.
Marianna is Greek Cypriot and speaks conversational Greek.
